Pulaski Man Arrested in Child Sex Abuse Case

Authorities Charge 66-Year-Old Daryl Kimball Following Investigation into Alleged Abuse of Two Young Girls

Somerset, Kentucky (SPA)---According to a press release from Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones, the department has announced the arrest of a Burnside man in connection with a child sex abuse investigation. Daryl Kimball, 66, was taken into custody without incident at his residence on Wednesday, August 6, and charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree – Victim Under the Age of Twelve.

The arrest follows an investigation that began in April after allegations emerged that Kimball had engaged in sexual contact with two minor females, ages three and four. At the time of the reported offenses, Kimball was living in the Bronston area. The initial investigation was conducted by Sergeant Preston Pitman and Deputy Seth Gover, with assistance from the Kentucky Department for Community Based Services. The case was later assigned to the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Kimball is currently being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing, led by Detective Lieutenant Matt Bryant, with support from Sheriff Jones, other members of the Sheriff’s Office, and Burnside Police Chief Mike Hill.
