What do you exalt or worship? Who do you exalt or worship? Isaiah 25:1 (KJV) is a beautiful praise to God and a reminder to exalt Him that leads to worship. “O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” You get to choose what you will exalt and praise. You can either worship the idols of this world — or you can choose to serve the true and living God.
Exalt means to hold someone or something in extremely high regard or to think or speak very highly of. What are you exalting above God? Who are you exalting above God? Are you worshipping your resources above God. Are you worshipping your title, reputation, or your position above God. Are you worshipping your education above Him. Are you worshipping your family. Are you exalting your marriage or your job. Who or what do you value more than God? What have you exalted in your life and made it equal to God?
Exalting leads to worship and when we worship something or someone it is a feeling or expression of reverence and adoration. God has given you an assignment. You have a purpose, but there is a difference between honoring God through your work and worshipping your work. There is a difference between being used by God and worshipping the role that He has given you. Do not worship the role. Do not worship the position. Do not worship the assignment. Do not worship the platform. Worship God and let Him use you.
Platforms pass away.
Assignments pass away.
Jobs pass away.
Temporary things pass away.
Choose your worship.
Choose to worship and exalt God above your gifts, talents, abilities, resources, and temporary platforms.
Worship God. Honor Him. He has no end.
