Throughout both the Old and New Testaments, God repeats a phrase we desperately need: “Fear not.” “Do not be afraid.” “Do not worry.”

He knew our flesh would wrestle with fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. So every command to fear not is paired with a promise: “I am with you.”

God promised Moses, “My presence will go with you.” He told Joshua, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” He walked with Abraham, guided Noah, and remained faithful to every person He called. And today, that same promise is fulfilled in you. As a born‑again believer, the Holy Spirit Himself lives inside you. You carry the presence of God everywhere you go—because Jesus made that promise and kept it.

When anxiety rises, go to Philippians 4

Philippians 4:6–7 tells us:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

In every situation—bring it to God. Lay it at the feet of Jesus. Talk it out with Him. And do it with thanksgiving, even if your emotions feel heavy. Gratitude shifts your posture, opens your heart, and makes room for His peace to settle over you.

Philippians 4:8 gives us the strategy. Think on what is true, what is noble, what is right, what is pure, what is lovely, what is admirable, what is excellent, or what is praiseworthy. This is how we anchor our minds in Christ and cultivate a heart of thanksgiving.

Your Situation Is Not Too Big for God

Some circumstances feel impossible. Some seasons feel unchangeable. Some battles feel unwinnable. But we serve the Way Maker—the God who parts seas, reroutes rivers, opens doors no one can shut, and still performs miracles today. Nothing you face is beyond His reach. Don’t let hard times convince you you’re alone. Don’t let fear drown out His promise. Don’t let anxiety silence His presence.

He Is With You—Right Now

The God you serve is the God who stays. He is with you. He is for you. And He is waiting for you to bring it all to Him.

  • Don’t be anxious.
  • Don’t be nervous.
  • Don’t be afraid.

God is with you. Whatever you’re walking through, He is walking through it with you. You are not navigating your situation alone—you are accompanied by the One who sees the end from the beginning.

1. Fear, Anxiety, and God’s Presence
• Where in my life am I currently feeling fear, anxiety, or pressure?
• What would change if I truly believed—right now—that God is with me in this situation?
• What lies or assumptions am I believing that make fear feel bigger than God’s promise?
2. Remembering God’s Faithfulness
• How has God shown His presence to me in past seasons?
• Which biblical story of God’s faithfulness speaks most to my current situation, and why?
• What promise from Scripture do I need to cling to today?
3. Bringing Everything to God
• What have I been trying to carry on my own instead of laying at Jesus’ feet?
• When I pray about my situation, do I bring it with surrender or with control?
• What would it look like for me to bring every situation to God with thanksgiving?
4. Practicing Thanksgiving
• Even in my current struggle, what can I thank God for today?
• How does gratitude shift my emotions, my perspective, or my spiritual posture?
• What blessings have I overlooked because anxiety has taken up too much space?
5. Trusting God With the Impossible
• What situation in my life feels “too big,” “too stuck,” or “too impossible”?
• What would trusting God look like in that specific area?
• Where do I need to stop rehearsing the problem and start declaring God’s power?

Father,

I quiet my heart before You. I lay down every racing thought, every anxious feeling, every burden I’ve been carrying. I choose to be still and know that You are God. Lord, thank You that You are here with me. You were with Moses, Joshua, Abraham, and Noah—and You are with me now. Your spirit lives inside me. I am never alone, never abandoned, never forgotten. God, You are the Way Maker. You open doors no one can shut. You heal, you restore, you redeem, you deliver. Nothing I face is too big for You. I trust You to make a way in my situation. Holy Spirit, help me think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and praiseworthy. Shift my focus from fear to faith. From anxiety to trust. From the problem to your power.

In Jesus' name, AMEN
