Scripture: John 9:35-38
"Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?" - John 9:35
One of the most beautiful moments in Scripture happens immediately after one of the blind man’s hardest moments. After Jesus healed the man born blind, the religious leaders interrogated him, questioned his testimony, questioned his parents, and ultimately cast him out of the synagogue. Rather than celebrating what God had done, they rejected both the miracle and the man. But Jesus heard what happened and Jesus came looking for him.
What an incredible reminder for us today. When others misunderstand you, Jesus sees. When you are rejected for your faith, Jesus sees. When people cast you aside, Jesus sees.
The blind man found himself isolated and alone, but the Good Shepherd did not leave him there. Jesus sought him out and revealed Himself more fully than ever before. This is the heart of the Shepherd.
He does not simply receive sheep that come to Him. He pursues sheep that have been wounded, rejected, scattered, and lost. Many of us have experienced seasons where we felt forgotten. Maybe people walked away. Maybe relationships changed. Maybe we faced criticism, betrayal, or disappointment.
We are reminded throughout Scripture to come to Jesus, but there are moments when Jesus will come and find you.
He finds the rejected sheep.
He finds the hurting sheep.
He finds the wandering sheep.
He finds the lost sheep.
The same Savior who found the blind man still seeks people today. Nothing about your situation is hidden from Him. Let Jesus meet you today where you may feel casted out, rejected, or alone.

Jesus,
Thank you for being the shepherd who comes looking for your sheep. Thank You that I am never forgotten, abandoned, or overlooked by You. Help me to trust Your presence even when I feel alone. Thank You for seeking me, finding me, and calling me Your own.
